Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan
Al-Zaytoonah Private University of Jordan (henceforth, Al-Zaytoonah) was established in 1993 after receiving its license and general accreditation by Decision No. 848 on March 6, 1993. Instruction began on September 6, 1993, and since then Al-Zaytoonah has witnessed considerable progress, at both the infrastructure and academic levels.
Al-Zaytoonah follows the credit-hour system which enables students to select the courses they like to sign up for according to their study plans.
Arabic is the official language of instruction, although English is used in a number of courses offered by all faculties. French is also used in the French Department.
Faculties
Faculty of Science and Information Technology
The Faculty of Science and Information Technology is considered a lighthouse of knowledge and a pioneering edifice of the faculties of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. In fact, it plays an essential and fundamental role in the fields of science, information technology, scientific research, and community service and development.
Faculty of Pharmacy
The faculty was established in 1993. It has 54 faculty teaching members and 1964 students. The faculty has graduated 24 classes of B.Sc. degree and 9 classes of M.Sc. degree. The faculty members have published 390 research publications in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 35 research participations in Arabic and international conferences.
Faculty of Nursing
The establishment of the Faculty of Nursing, AL-Zaytoonah University was in the beginning of the academic year 1993 / 1994 in response to the needs of the Jordanian society to nurses at a high level of knowledge and science as well as technical skills necessary to cope with rapid changes in the health field, whether at the local level, regional or International.
Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts is one of the first faculties in which teaching began since the establishment of the university, at the beginning of the academic year 1993-1994. The first cohort of its students graduated in 1997. Its establishment came as an embodiment of the distinguished and insightful vision adopted by Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, which is represented in contributing to building an educated, conscious person, and preparing a good citizen for his country and nation, through preparing a graduate who is able to face challenges, and refine his creative abilities with the specializations offered by the university, and the sciences it offers.
Faculty of Business
The Faculty of Business Provides Exciting business educational opportunities for students. Being established in 1993 Faculty of Business has become one of the pioneer business faculties in Jordan and region. The Faculty of Business is committed to continuous quality improvement on its academic programs, Learning outcomes, faculty member’s scholarly development, use of digital technology, smart e-learning systems and developing academic partnership with leading business schools and professional institutions on world scale.
Faculty of Law
The Faculty Of Law Started Teaching Students In The Being Of The Year 1993 – 1994. It Has Been Accredited Private Accreditation According To Decision No: 848 In 6/9/1993, And It Has Accredited Private Accreditation According To Decision No: 117 In 12/2/1996. The Admission Of The Student In Faculty Of Law Conditioned With The Average (65%).
Faculty of Engineering and Technology
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is seeking to be a leading professional school in the region. The Faculty offers educational programs of the highest standards, promotes research and creative scholarly activities of its faculty and students, and provides services to the community at large, while addressing the needs of Jordan and the region. The Faculty continuous improvement to maintain a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment, and prepares its students to be life-long learners, innovators, and professionals capable of being leaders in their chosen careers, committed to personal integrity and civic responsibility.
Faculty of Architecture and Design
The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Al Zaytoonah University of Jordan is one of the distinctive additions of this outstanding scientific academic edifice. It seriously strives to prepare creative designers who are able to match the originality and modernity, in addition of keeping updated with all technological developments.
